Tipsheet Tuesday: Heuristic Play Approach (Tuesday, 9th May 2017)Tuesday, 9th May 2017)
Heuristic play is an approach which describes the activity of babies and young children as they explore objects from the real world. This useful tip sheet tells us how practitioners can introduce heuristic play sessions to their toddler groups, describes the role of the adult in facilitating heuristic play and offers some ideas of materials that could be collected to support children’s interests, such as posting, threading and collecting.
